What is SLAMT1D’s Summer Classic?
+
It’s WIFFLE Ball at its absolute finest. The Summer Classic brings teams from across the country to the legendary Little Fenway in Essex, Vermont — three days of grit, glory, and game-changing impact. Think loud music, packed stands, big swings, and even bigger hearts. Every play helps us raise awareness and funds for Type 1 diabetes programs.
How can I enter a team?
+
Spots go fast! Team applications open each fall, and space is limited — so don’t wait! Just hit the “Register Today” button on this page to get started. Once approved, you’ll receive all the info you need to rally your roster and start fundraising.
Do I have to have a connection to T1D?
+
Nope! Whether you’re living with T1D, love someone who is, or just love an excuse to swing a plastic bat for a good cause — you’re in. Every pitch, hit, and laugh helps support people living with Type 1 diabetes.
Is there a fee to participate?
+
No entry fee, no problem. Teams are simply encouraged to raise at least $5,000 leading up to the tournament. (Bonus motivation: you’ll need to hit that mark to qualify for the playoffs!) Most teams find creative, fun ways to fundraise — from raffles to bar nights to corporate sponsorships.
How can my company sponsor the event?
+
Easy. Hit the “View Sponsorship Opportunities” button above to see how your brand can step up to the plate. Sponsors get premium visibility, brag-worthy community cred, and a front-row seat to the action. Want to build something custom? We’re all ears — contact us and we’ll make it happen.
Can I come just to watch?
+
Absolutely. Fans are what make Little Fenway electric. Admission is free, and everyone’s welcome — bring your family, grab some food, and soak up the summer vibes.
What happens if it rains?
+
We play through the drizzle — it adds to the drama! If heavier rain rolls in, we’ll pause until it passes. Lightning and thunder? That’s our cue to take a break and wait it out. Once the skies are clear, it’s game on. (Basically: Little League rules, big league spirit.)
Where does the money go?
+
Every dollar raised supports SLAMT1D, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping people of all ages and their families live life to the fullest with Type 1 diabetes. Your swing helps fund game-changing programs, awareness campaigns, and support for the T1D community. Learn more about how SLAMT1D changes lives

Can I volunteer instead of playing?
+
Heck yeah! Join our all-star volunteer crew — it’s almost as much fun as stepping up to the plate. From setting up for the fans to flipping off the lights after another unforgettable day at Little Fenway, our volunteers make the magic happen.
