Medtronic MiniMed 600 Series Insulin Pumps Recalled

Medtronic is recalling several models of insulin pumps that could lead to dangerous incorrect dosing.

The delivery of too much or too little insulin could result in life-threatening complications for people with T1D (Type 1 diabetes)

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has deemed the recall of Medtronic’s MiniMed 600 Series Insulin Pumps as a “Class I” recall of that could affect up to 322,000 users. According to the FDA, “This is the most serious type of recall and means that use of such products could result in serious injury or death.”
